 What is REPs?

The Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) is an independent public Register which recognizes the qualifications and expertise of health-enhancing exercise instructors in the UK. One of their key functions is to provide a system of regulation for instructors and trainers to ensure that they meet the health and fitness industry’s agreed national occupational standards.

What is CPD?

Continued Professional Development (CPD) is simply a way for exercise professionals to demonstrate that they continue to learn and develop throughout their careers so they keep their skills and knowledge up to date and are able to work safely, legally and effectively. As a REPs member, you are required to achieve 24 CPD points every two years. Up to 8 CPD points can be rolled forwards into the adjacent two year period if more than 24 CPD points are achieved. A lot of training providers provide CPD training, including Parallel Coaching. You can search for all recognized courses and find us on the Training Portal.

How do I log my REPs Points?

You can update your REPs registration by uploading your training to the REPs activepassport™. The CPD points are awarded once you have logged the training; you are not usually required to send a copy of your certificate.
